BC trans teen's mom speaks out against doctor prescribed mastectomies for healthy minors

The normalization of adult medics removing children's body organs, in response to the same expressions of distress, is something everyone with a conscience should oppose.

In British Columbia as Supreme Court judge stopped the amputation of a female child's breasts days before the extreme body modification procedure was due to go ahead.

The teenager's mother, understandably concerned that her child would later regret such a rash, irreversible move while under the influence of testosterone-induced euphoria, trans social contagion, and the innocence of someone at her stage of cognitive development, applied to the court for an order to protect her child by delaying the procedure.

The court granted an order delaying the medically unjustified operation for one month, blocking doctors from going ahead.

Madam Justice Shelley Fitzpatrick granted the interlocutory injunction against cosmetic surgeon Dr. Daniel McKee, and the child's doctor Dr. Andrea Szewchuk.

The two doctors named in court documents are responsible for leading the child down the medical pathway established by the architects of gender identity ideology-driven "healthcare."

Think of them as modern day Pied Pipers, playing the "born in the wrong body" tune which is the only one Canadian medics are incentivized to play.

Those who sing a different tune—that of "watchful waiting," and supporting the child while they come to terms with their sex, as the vast majority do by the end of puberty—can find themselves professionally isolated, even ostracized.

That the medical system has been captured by gender identity ideology is a tragedy for children and their parents. Extreme, irreversible hormonal and surgical body modification has become the only "cure" proposed for a range of psychosocial and neurological issues, from autism to trauma stemming from sexual abuse.

The child, identified only as S.B., is recorded in the court order as 17-years-old.

The injunction prevents Dr. McKee from "providing S.B. with counsel, advice or advocacy in preparation for, promotion of, or performing a double mastectomy or any surgery."

The injunction will expire on November 27.

According to the applicant's lawyer, the intervening weeks will provide S.B.'s mother, who opposes the body modification surgery, with time to discover whether or not the appropriate protocols were followed in the process of diagnosis and recommending a surgical "cure" for the child's mental health struggles.

The lawyer, Carey Linde, said "The mother needs to see all of the protocols that led to the two doctors coming to the conclusion that what they intended to do is in the best interest of the child."

In an interview, the child's mother A.M. explained that, at school, the children were taught "propaganda [to say] 'here you go, you can change your sex,' except they call it gender. They say 'Cut your breasts and you will become a boy.'"

She said "I am shocked the government through TransCare BC supports such unscientific and very risky experimentation. There is little evidence the irreversible treatment lessens gender dysphoria or reduces the 19 times normal suicide rate."

"It is outrageous the SOGI 123 school programme pushes these depressed and anxiety-ridden girls to gender change clinics when what they need is psychiatric care."

"Worst of all, the law lets it be kept secret from parents," said A.M.

A.M., the mother, has also initiated proceedings against her child's family doctor, Dr. Andrea Szewchuk, for prescribing testosterone without seeking the permission of the child's guardian.

The applicant's lawyer also represented a father, C.D., who is facing a potential prison sentence for challenging the medical establishment's decision to administer mega doses of wrong sex hormones to his "trans" identified child.

Before the 2010s, troubled or dysphoric teenagers would get a piercing or—for the truly adventurous—a tattoo. The normalization of adult medics removing children's body organs, in response to the same expressions of distress, is something everyone with a conscience should oppose.

Just because a doctor who profits from so-called "gender affirmation" surgery tells society that it's fine for troubled teenage girls to have mastectomies doesn't mean that it is even remotely OK. What it means is that society at large is being groomed by gender identity ideologues to passively accept body mutilation—of children, no less—as a valid response to psychological trauma.

It is not a valid response to someone's distress or trauma to subject them to a prolonged source of additional distress and trauma. There is no evidence that these ideological quack "cures" do anything to alleviate the original distress.

Can the western democracies, like Canada, realistically claim superiority to nations where breast ironing and FGM on little girls are endemic, if they will not move urgently to make these "gender" surgeries on children illegal?

Can Canada claim that (LGB)T+ education of schoolchildren is increasing tolerance of diversity of sexual orientation and transgender identities when, in practice, it is creating a generation of irreversibly harmed children, and angry and disillusioned parents?

The mother said, to other worried parents in Canada, "Don't be afraid, if you're in a similar situation, to go out. We as parents have rights."

"To those who care about tolerance of LGB people, think of the scary procedures that used to be done to gay men, like chemical castration, lobotomy. Then think about where you are putting these kids right now who you are calling transgender. These procedures are really unnecessary, invasive, and are not doing good to them."

As it seems that public opposition to gender ideologues' demands is gathering steam, this writer hopes to see more cases like this one where a protective, rational parent who knows history, uses the law to stand up to the worst excesses of this chilling creed.
