Twitter is awash with users demanding that previously suspended accounts be reinstated immediately, with #BringThemBack trending nationally.

On Wednesday afternoon, Twitter CEO Elon Musk posted a poll asking followers what they think he should do.

"Should Twitter offer a general amnesty to suspended accounts, provided that they have not broken the law or engaged in egregious spam?" Musk asked, with the option to simply click "yes" or "no".

At the time of writing, the poll had been retweeted almost 22,000 times and "yes" has the support of almost 73 percent of users.

"Everyone retweet this poll and vote yes," said one user. "This is what's going to get everyone back who was wrongly suspended."

Human Events senior Editor Jack Posobiec has shared #BringThemBack multiple times from his personal account.

Musk has previously stated that he would reinstate people whose accounts were suspended for "minor and dubious reasons."

"Anyone suspended for minor & dubious reasons will be freed from Twitter jail," Must wrote at the time.

A number of accounts suspended over the last decade have still yet to be reinstated, including those of people who were banned for allegedly spreading "fake news" about COVID-19, such as MyPillow's Mike Lindell, Dr. Robert Malone, Dr. Peter McCollough, author Naomi Wolf, artist Nicki Minaj, and Canadian politician Randy Hillier.

Also notably, Alex Jones and his Infowars pages have yet to be reinstated, but Musk has already stated that he was not in favor of doing so.
