BREAKING: Mitch McConnell confirms Senate will vote on new SCOTUS nominee

In a statement, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has confirmed that the Senate majority will support President Trump's nominee and will vote in favour of the appointment.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away on Friday at the age of 87. This leave a pivotal seat open in the Supreme Court and many have speculated in recent hours on whether it will be filled before the election.

In a statement, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has confirmed that the Senate majority will support President Trump's nominee and will vote in favour of the appointment.

President Trump gave a few remarks following a rally, where he was stunned to hear the news. "She just died?  Wow.  I didn't know that.  She led an amazing life.  What else can you say?  she was an amazing woman, whether you agree or not.  She was an amazing woman who led an amazing life."
