Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is the first US Senator to speak out against the Biden administration’s politicization of the military. This week, senior members of the armed forces launched political attacks on Fox News host Tucker Carlson after he criticized Biden’s prioritization of “inclusivity” in the military over its preparedness against China.

The Pentagon issued an official response to Carlson, followed by a video statement by US Space Command Senior Enlisted Officer Scott Stalker, who slammed the conservative television host for his remarks – using official military platforms as a political stage to speak out against a civilian for his criticism of the military.

In an official statement, Sen. Cruz described them as “launching political attacks to intimidate Tucker Carlson [and] other civilians who criticize their policy decisions.”

“Officials in uniform are being used for the campaign,” wrote Cruz. “I’ve demanded a meeting with the Commandant of the USMC to put a stop to it.”
