The NBA has announced that it is suspending its 2019-2020 season. According to ESPN, Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder players are now under quarantine in Oklahoma City after Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus.

The NBA released a statement that read: “The NBA announced that a player on the Utah Jazz has preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19. The test result was reported shortly prior to the tip-off of tonight’s game between the Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder at Chesapeake Energy Arena ... The NBA will use this hiatus to determine next steps for moving forward in regard to the coronavirus pandemic."

Earlier, Gobert made light of the coronavirus pandemic by touching all of the mics and recorders in the media room at Zions Bank Basketball Campus.
