There were protests Saturday outside City Hall in Saskatoon after a trans-identified male allegedly walked around naked in the female changing room at a local pool while swimming lessons for young children were taking place.

The incident that allegedly occurred at the Shaw Centre first came to light when a concerned parent posted about the individual in a Facebook group. “A male that identifies as female was in the female change room and walking around completely naked. No towel, no underwear,” said the parent.

The parent said she had spoken with a supervisor and was told “anyone can use any changeroom based on what gender they identify with.”

A group of approximately 25 angry locals gathered outside City Hall in the frigid Saskatoon wind chill to protest the policy that puts women and girls at risk.

Protest organizer Mark “Grizzly Patriot” Friesen, of Saskatoon’s Buffalo Party, tweeted to say that the -33 wind chill may have kept some people away, but that there are plans for another protest next weekend.

“We can’t stop until we get the policy changed,” said Friesen. “We have to protect the kids.”

Exhibitionism (non-consensually displaying one’s genitals), and voyeurism (non-consensually observing others in a state of undress) are two of the most common sex offenses committed by males. By segregating spaces by gender identity rather than biological sex, institutions are opening the doors to exhibitionists and voyeurs to commit their crimes with impunity.

Friesen called for Saskatoon Mayor Charlie Clark and Premier Scott Moe to take action to speak out against such policies.

"Charlie Clark and this city council are putting our children at risk with their 'inclusivity' policy. Pedophiles and predators can’t wait for opportunities just like this to access children and women. We need to stop sacrificing our children and women at the altar of the woke," said Friesen in a statement to The Post Millennial.

In a statement to the Western Standard, the Moe government said, “the government of Saskatchewan is aware of the concerns raised by parents. As the concerns involve operations of a municipal recreation facility, this would be most appropriately addressed by the municipality responsible.”

This incident comes shortly after a trans-identified male in British Columbia attracted international attention for accusing a gym of discrimination after being asked to use the co-ed facility rather than the female-only.

Brigid Klyne-Simpson is reportedly considering filing a human rights complaint against the gym after the owner prioritized the safety and privacy of women and girls over the trans-identified male’s feelings.

Last year, a serial sex offender made headlines at a spa in Los Angeles after allegedly showing his male genitals to a little girl and several women in June of 2021. The suspect self-identified as female.

The Post Millennial has contacted the Shaw Centre for comment.
