'Jane's Revenge' targets pro-life pregnancy center in North Carolina

The language used aligns with that of pro-abortion group "Jane's Revenge" and mirrors language used in a Molotov Cocktail attack against a pro-life organization in Madison, Wisconsin in May and the firebombing of a Buffalo, New York pro-life center in June.

A pro-life pregnancy services clinic in Asheville, North Carolina was vandalized earlier this week, with the threat "if abortions aren't safe, neither are you" spray painted in red on its entrance.

Mountain Area Pregnancy Services is a Christian outreach ministry that "work(s) with families to honor the life of their child" as "all lives are precious, valuable, and ordained by God." The center's windows were smashed and it was defaced with multiple pro-abortion slogans such as "no forced birth" and the anarchist symbol either the night of June 6 or morning of June 7.

The language used aligns with that of pro-abortion group "Jane's Revenge" and mirrors language used in a Molotov Cocktail attack against a pro-life organization in Madison, Wisconsin in May and the firebombing of a Buffalo, New York pro-life center in June.

On Wednesday's episode of Human Events Daily, Jack Posobiec described Jane's Revenge as a "coordinated or decentralized network or movement of anarchists and violent radicals that are perpetuating these attacks."

The Asheville Blade, a self described "Leftist local news" organization posted pictures of the destruction on Twitter along with a recent call for violence that Jane's Revenge had posted online.

On Facebook, the center posted about the incident and wrote, "Friends, please pray!!! Our building was vandalized last night. We are dealing with the cops and will still see clients, but we need your prayer support!! #WeWillStand!#MAPS."

According to WLOS, police arrived at the center around 7:20am on June 7 and are actively searching for the culprits. They did report that forensics found blood on a broken window and a blood trail leading away from the building, indicating one of the suspects was injured during the vandalism.

The Executive Director of Mountain Area Pregnancy Services, Kristi Brown, said of the attack, "There must be hate in their heart for them to want to harm us in this manner when they don’t even know who we are… We are not going to allow this experience to stop us from the lifesaving work that we do."

The building was empty during the attack, and no injuries were reported.

Mountain Area Pregnancy Services said on Facebook that much of the paint had already been cleaned off and that the community has rallied around them.

This pro-abortion attack comes after a string of arson and vandalism of pro-life clinics and organizations. Protests have been encouraged by Democrats since the May leak of a Supreme Court draft opinion will likely overturn Roe v Wade, and in recent weeks there's been an increase in attacks on pro-life centers and credible threats to the Justices.
