On Tuesday, comedian, podcaster, and MMA commentator Joe Rogan opened his own alien-themed, anti-cancel culture comedy club in Austin, Texas, the Comedy Mothership, and exclaimed "You can’t fire me from my own club, b*tch!" to commemorate the occasion.

According to the Daily Mail, Rogan's club opened to "rapturous applause" on its first night as Rogan "was joined on stage by a litany of 'canceled' comedians including Roseanne Barr and David Lucas."

Speaking to fellow comedian Theo Von on his podcast This Past Weekend last year, Rogan said, "I felt compelled to do it … I never wanted to own a comedy club, and I always felt like you just had to be nice to comedy club owners because you never want to be one of those people."

Rogan added, "I was like, 'Maybe I should buy a f*cking club, and start a club.' And that became my focus."

The comedian had also said he saw the opportunity to open because Austin's Capital City Comedy Club had closed.

Tickets for shows at the venue were offered at $40 but have been selling out and now tickets can be found resold online for as much as $500.

The first night, Tuesday, featured, David Lucas, Ron White, Tim Dillon, Tony Hinchcliffe and Roseanne Barr and Wednesday featured William Montgomery, Brian Simpson and Duncan Trussell.

On the venue's website it announces, "Comedy is subjective and certain comedians are not for everybody. Watching a YouTube clip or reading the headliner’s biography is a great way to get insight on the expected performance."

According to the New York Post, Roseanne Barr performed and said, "After 30 years of fighting ABC to have black writers and black characters on my show and then having the same f*cking libt*rds turn around and call me a racist, it really f*cking p*ssed me off."

"I want to thank Joe for building this wonderful Mothership for comedians," she said. "It’s so great in the green room with everybody up there being drunk and smoking pot."

"It doesn't feel real. I know it’s real, but it doesn’t feel real … I was super nervous today," Rogan said as the show neared its end.

The venue requires cell phones to be bagged up before entering to prevent footage leaks.
