Los Angeles Police are investigating Kanye West as a suspect in a battery case after he allegedly punched a man in the face who reportedly grabbed his wife, Bianca Censori.

The incident occurred on Wednesday morning at the Chateau Marmont Hotel on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, The Independent reports.

According to a report from TMZ, West is accused of punching an unidentified man in the face in response to the individual reportedly grabbing or pushing his wife.

West has not yet been criminally charged in the case, nor has the other individual involved in the altercation.

Milo Yiannopoulos, West's chief of staff, said in a statement to Fox 11 that Censori was "physically assaulted."

"'Grabbed' is grossly inadequate as a description of what happened. Bianca was physically assaulted," said Yiannopoulos. "The assailant didn't merely collide into her. He put his hands under her dress, directly on her body, he grabbed her waist, he spun her around, and then he blew her kisses. She was battered and sexually assaulted."

The Los Angeles Police Department have not yet confirmed West is a suspect in the case, but told The Independent that officers responded to a "battery investigation" at the hotel around 12:30 am on April 17.

West has also been named in a 2022 battery report in relation to an altercation that occurred outside of a Los Angeles club. He was not arrested or charged over the alleged incident, according to the Guardian.
