Pro-abortion activist tells Congress that men can give birth, receive abortions

"Men can become pregnant and have abortions?" asked Rep. Bishop. "Yes," replied Aimee Arrambide.

On Wednesday, the House Judiciary Committee held a hearing about abortion access as the world awaits for the Supreme Court’s decision that’ll likely decide the fate of Roe v Wade.

A portion of the hearing strayed from biological women and touched on the topic of reproductive rights for transgender people. The Executive Director for the pro-abortion group Avow, for instance, stayed her beliefs that men can bear children.

"What do you say a woman is?" asked Rep. Dan Bishop of North Carolina. "I believe that everyone can identify for themselves," responded Aimee Arrambide.

"Do you believe then, that men can become pregnant and have abortions?" was Bishop’s follow-up.

"Yes," Arrambide replied.

During the same hearing, Arrambide was questioned on how late in pregnancy an abortion is still okay.

Rep. Mike Johnson quesitoned whether late term abortions, including up to birth, were acceptable. She largely agreed, and that’s when Johnson pressed Arrambide on how she squares that away with the concept of murdering someone, like a two-year-old child.

Arrambide paused, and stated once again that she "trusts people to determine what to do with their own bodies. Full stop."

Johnson asked similar questions of other witnesses, like Dr. Yashica Robinson. Democrats like Rep. Jamie Raskin similarly clashed with pro-life witnesses like Catherine Glenn Foster, who is a member of the American United for Life group.

This isn’t the first occasion where someone giving testimony to Congress responded in a favorable way to transgender ideology. Back during the Supreme Court confirmation hearings for Ketanji Brown Jackson, Biden’s nominee refused to define what a woman was, because she’s "not a biologist."

Magazines like Calvin Klein have been chasing progressive audiences for years, the further they veered left. In June 2020 they featured transqueer lesbian Jari Jones in their campaigns. But by May 2022, Calvin Klein upgraded to pregnant trans man Roberto Betes for their most recent Instagram campaign.
