CDC’s reversal for vaccinated people to “mask up” against Delta variant, came the same month the Biden administration sought to buy 127 million masks.

American companies who make masks are facing the threat of going out of business in the current economy. A few different moves from the Biden administration signal a bailout arrangement.

The mask industry is at the mercy of the Biden administration to save their businesses. Earlier in the year during the interim where the US government framed vaccines as a cure-all from masks, reporting about nursing homes in New York indicated they had excess PPE rotting in storage. In that case outside under tarps.

According to The Hill, Chinese companies are able to make masks for much less than their US counterparts.

"With the virus getting worse, and we’re not even into the cold months, we're really worried that this industry won’t be here to help when it’s needed most," said Brent Dillie. As chairman of the new American Mask Manufacturer’s Association (AMMA), his position is a response to the USA's pandemic situation as it turned out to be on the onset of early 2020.

"The industry is in a situation where we are needed, there are shortages of masks, but we're all laying off our employees and sitting on huge inventories of products that we can't sell," said vice president at DemeTech, Luis Arguello Jr.

While the CDC originally exempted vaccinated people from the Delta variant of COVID, this past week they’ve reversed that policy to reintroducing masks for the entire general public.

It was weeks before this announcement that revelations about the US medical stockpile seeking 127 million US-made masks was made known.

In addition it’s something that’s being added into the text of the Senate’s infrastructure bill, per The Hill’s reporting. They describe how “long-term contracts” are promised when it comes to masks and medical supplies from American companies.
