On Tuesday, the United States Supreme Court denied requests to block a Texas law that required anyone attempting to access websites with pornographic to provide age verification.

The justices sided against the plaintiffs, among whom were the Free Speech Coalition, an adult content trade association, and various companies that host porn-hosting websites. One of the main companies that has gone back and forth with Texas Gov. Abbott on the law is Aylo, the company that owns Pornhub.

According to Reuters, while it has not been revealed how many, if any, of the justices ruled in favor of the request, there were no publicly noted dissents.

The law, passed in 2023, made it mandatory for any website that provides content more than one third of which is "sexual material harmful to minors" to make users enter in certain information to confirm their age.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
