A woman in Tusla, Oklahoma tried to steal a car, not noticing that a 13-year-old was sleeping inside the vehicle. He woke up to see the car was being stolen and bravely fought back against her, foiling the carjacking in progress.

Koleasha Pruitt was arrested and has been charged with kidnapping, possession of a stolen vehicle, and obstructing a police offers. She is currently being held in the Tulsa County Jail.

The car was taken from the vicinity of Yale Avenue and the I-44 highway, just before 5 am on Thursday. The boy was jolted awake when Pruitt hit a curb, and he looked at her and understood that she had stolen the car, according to local outlet ABC 8 Tulsa.

He then acted immediately, punching her repeatedly in the face, which caused her to crash the car into a center median Pruitt then exited the vehicle. The boy continued to act, immediately locking the doors of the Nissan and calling the police.

According to his testimony, Pruitt was then locked out of the car and couldn't get back in. She threatened to taser the teen but had no means of acting on her threat.

The teen was not injured during the incident.
