On Monday, the World Economic Forum announced that the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, will attend the WEF's annual summit in Davos, Switzerland.

According to Serbian news outlet Nulta Tacka, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky "decided to send his better half to the World Economic Forum" after saying he would attend either in person or via a video call in December.

The Daily Mail reports, Zelenska "is expected to make a speech on Tuesday while other Ukraine officials will speak on panels in the bid to forge greater unity at the summit where Russia's oligarchs are conspicuously absent."

In December, Zelensky signaled that Ukraine would participate in the WEF summit, which will occur January 16-20. The news came after it was revealed Zelensky was in talks with BlackRock CEO Larry Fink about rebuilding Ukraine in the wake of their war with Russia.

The New York Times reported that Zelensky planned on attending this year's WEF summit, but was unsure about the method he would use to appear.

"Cooperation in a Fragmented World" is the WEF's theme this year, and the event will draw roughly 600 CEOs and 52 heads of state. The WEF "engages" with "leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas," according to their website. And the stated goal of this year's summit is to "work together on the interconnected issues of energy, climate and nature" and the summit will have a "Special emphasis" on "gender and geographical diversity."

John Kerry, failed presidential candidate and Biden's climate czar, will be attending along with Head of National Intelligence Avril Haines, Katherine Tai, the US Trade Representative, and a collection of US legislators and regional governors.

The executive chairman of the World Economic Forum and its founder, Klaus Schwab, wrote and published the book "COVID 19: The Great Reset" with co-author Thierry Malleret. It outlines a new world order, born out of the Covid pandemic, where governments engage in a more aggressive role in wealth generation and distribution.
