Unexplained deaths from lockdowns outpacing Covid fatalities

A "new silent health crisis" has hit England as people are inexplicably dying, although many deaths are linked to diseases that went untreated during Covid lockdowns.

England's Office of National Statistics (ONS) has revealed that on average, 1000 more people are dying each week in the country, and the deaths are not from Covid.

The Telegraph reports that a "new silent health crisis" has been created by the country's response to Covid, as people are dying from a collection of reasons, some of them unexplained, because they simply didn't seek treatment for health issues while Covid lockdowns were in place.

Throughout 2020, many British citizens canceled health appointments while both diagnosed and undiagnosed ailments went untreated such as cancer, diabetes, and heart disease. Britain's Department of Health is investigating the rise in deaths and tasked its subunit, the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities, to investigate the rise in deaths.

So far the department has confirmed that the rise in deaths are linked to "largely preventable heart and stroke and diabetes-related conditions."

The British Heart Foundation said it was "deeply concerned." The organization's chief executive, Dr. Charmaine Griffiths, said, "We’re deeply concerned by the initial findings that excess deaths in recent months seem to be being driven by cardiovascular disease."

According to the Telegraph, "Figures released by the ONS on Tuesday showed that excess deaths are currently 14.4 per cent higher than the five-year average, equating to 1,350 more deaths than usual in the week ending Aug 5."

469 of these deaths were from Covid, while came from 881 from unexplained causes.

The chief executive for private General Practice service Doctorcall, Dr. Charles Levinson, said, "“Hundreds and hundreds of people dying every week, what is going on? Delays in seeking and receiving healthcare are no doubt the driving force, in my view."

"Far too many" cases of undetected cancers and heart related issues were appearing and Dr. Levinson further said that he'd seen a "disturbing" rise in mental health issues.

Strict Covid restrictions in England lasted through February of 2022 until Boris Johnson announced an end to most of the measures, including face masks in public places and vaccine passports.
