WATCH: Bannon says Lake lawyers have 'the evidence, they've got the receipts'

"They think they've got a winning hand, they've got the evidence, they've got the receipts. This is the first time in this long process that we've been able to show evidence."

War Room host and former White House strategist Steve Bannon was joined by Real America's Voice's Ben Bergquam outside of the Maricopa County courtroom where the counts put forward contesting her loss in the state's governor's race to Democrat Katie Hobbs will be heard.

Most counts were thrown out by Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson, with 8 being tossed while two counts were allowed to proceed. Those counts deal with alleged intentional misconduct.

Lake told Turning Point USA's AmericaFest on Tuesday that this marked a "huge win" for her legal team, saying, "we got great news. We're taking these b*stards to trial!" Adding that Hobbs would take the stand in the trial.

It was later announced by Lake's attorneys that they had withdrawn the subpoena for Hobbs to testify.

Bannon began by asking for an "assessment outside the courtroom today."

"Because it was kind of a shock last night, with Katie Hobbs and I think for the audience, they're prioritizing, they're in there to win this. They think they've got a winning hand, they've got the evidence, they've got the receipts. This is the first time in this long process that we've been able to show evidence."

Bannon continued, "They made a very tough call last night, especially with Katie Hobbs last night she was begging the judge, 'I can't do this, I've got to get my hair done, I've got to drop the kids at school, It's going to cost too much money, I might have Covid, I've got to go check.' She didn't want to come, Katie Hobbs, is not good on the stage, she knows that, but they made a decision. Put me in the room, tell me what the feel outside the courthouse is, sir.

Bergquam responded, "Well, the folks that I've been speaking to, obviously people are disappointed that Katie Hobbs won't be able to take the stand... I still think it would have been valuable to have her on there, but I'm not part of the legal time, I'm not an attorney, and so I trust Kari Lake's legal team. They have an amazing team working on this.

"I trust them on that. It is going to be great. I keep looking out for Steven Richer or Bill Gates to walk up. These guys need to be called out," he said, before Bannon interjected.

"Let me jump in for a second, Ben. I think the lawyers are saying that focusing on these two counts in Maricopa county... and the judge did limit the time" Bannon continued, "he said you're going to get five hours, they want to go hard for five hours exactly on the Richers, on the Gates on the guys directly in the chain of command... to say if we had more time, obviously Katie Hobbs would be in the gunsights. We have so much evidence and experts to get in, they want to take the time to do that, correct?

Bergquam replied, "This is honey badger territory, you have to dig in, they're going to do anything they can to officiate, to change the subject, and misdirect. Those five hours are critical to getting down to the bottom, getting the receipts, and holding these guys accountable. It's not just proving that votes were disenfranchised, it's proving that it's intentional. I think that's kind of outrageous, the fact that votes were disenfranchised and there are 100,000 votes that were disenfranchised because of your ineptitude, you should be held accountable... No matter what happens today and tomorrow in these courtrooms, it's going to the state Supreme Court and the federal Supreme Court."

Bannon responded by asking, "One last thing, I think they have the local ABC or NBC affiliate doing one camera in to do a livestream. Are you also going to be in the courtroom?

"Let me tell you," Bergquam said, "I'm going to be in the courtroom, I made the request for a camera in the courtroom yesterday, and I was told you had to do it 48 hours in advance, which is ridiculous because we only knew about this 30 hours ago. Channel 12 is going to be in there, in the courtroom with the camera, they're going to be sharing their feed, we're going to be grabbing that feed and I'm going to get you again, first-hand knowledge of what's happening in the courtroom."
