The Governor of Texas joined FOX News' Tucker Carlson on Thursday and announced that Texas will be building their own border wall to help mitigate the illegal immigration crisis at the southern border.

"Texas is stepping up and we are building our own border wall," Gov. Greg Abbott said.

"The Biden administration is actively encouraging (illegal immigration) which is in contrast to what the Trump administration did," Abbott continued.

The Governor of Texas told Carlson that he had to activate over 6500 National Guard and Troopers to help secure the border from the massive migrant caravan that's about to cross. He also said that the state is laying down barbed wire and shipping containers to "serve as a blockade" in an attempt to keep the migrants from crossing into Texas.

"The National Guard and Department of Public Safety are authorized to arrest any of these people who make it through our blockade efforts and put them in jail for violating the crime of criminal trespass in the state of Texas," Abbott emphasized. "On top of that, Texas is building our own border wall."

Republican Governor Abbott said he expects to complete some of the border wall construction by the end of this year.

The Biden administration has been a significant obstacle in protecting the soverignty of Texas and continue to prevent Abbott from taking action against the border crisis.

"The Biden administration sued me and went to federal court and got a judge to rule that my order was unconstitutional," Abbott said.

The executive order that Abbott signed allowed law enforcement to arrest any illegal immigrant in the state of Texas for healthcare reasons due to the COVID pandemic.

The current caravan headed for the US/Mexico border from Mexico City is predicted to be the largest caravan yet with an alleged 60,000 people.

On Thursday, it was revealed that the Biden administration is looking to give $450,000 of US taxpayers dollars to each illegal immigrant that were separated from their families under the Trump administration.
