WATCH: Marjorie Taylor Green blasts mail-in voting as 'biggest problem' facing elections

"Mail-in ballots is the biggest problem in our elections and it is going to be a major factor going forward into 2024"

During a recent appearance on Steve Bannon's War Room, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene blasted mail-in voting, stating that she believes mail-in ballots are responsible for Republican losses during the election.

"COVID is the entire reason that states changed their elections and allowed for all of these mail-in ballots, and that's why we saw we lost in 2020," she stated, "because of the mail-in ballots and because it was ripe for election fraud."

Some states have started to apply stricter rules to mail-in voting, but the continuation by Biden of the public health emergency has meant that the practice will be sticking around for the foreseeable future.

"Now we're watching it again," she continued, "especially in Kari Lake's race over in Arizona."

After a week of excessively slow ballot tabulation, the close race between Republican Lake and her Democrat opponent Katie Hobbs ended with a win for Hobbs. Following the result, Lake posted a tweet saying simply that "Arizonans know BS when they see it."

Ms Greene goes on to point out that it was widely assumed that the Republicans would sweep these elections and usher in a red wave across the country, but that did not happen.

"This shouldn't be this way," she says. "Everyone was calling for a red wave."

"Either all the pollsters were wrong and they need to be fired ... every media pollster saying that we were going to get a red wave," she suggests, "or we have to finally acknowledge the fact, or at least we have to get the other side to acknowledge the fact and admit the truth, that mail-in ballots is the biggest problem in our elections and it is going to be a major factor going forward into 2024."

Greene is certainly not the only politician to point fingers at mail-in ballots as a hot bed for election fraud. This same accusation was a major part of Donald Trump's assertion that the 2020 elections were stolen, a claim he and many other republicans have stuck withever since.
