Following the fatal shooting on the set of "Rust" last fall, embattled actor Alec Baldwin is set to return to the screen in a pair of upcoming Italian Christmas comedies.

According to Deadline, Baldwin and his brother William Baldwin are off to Italy to shoot "Kid Santa" and "Billie's Magic World," which are reportedly two live-action and animation-hybrid family comedies.

The Baldwin brothers will be featured in the live-action portions of the films. Filming has begun in Rome for the two projects.

The two movies have Alec Baldwin once again teaming up with filmmaker Francesco Cinquemani following the 2015 sci-fi film Andron.

Producers for Andron, Monika Bacardi and Andrea Iervolino of Iervolino & Lady Bacardi Entertainment (ILBE), have partnered with Minerva Pictures to produce the Christmas comedies.

The beginning of production comes five months after Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed after Baldwin fatally shot her while rehearsing inside of a church for a scene.

In February, the family of Hutchins filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the actor.

In the lawsuit, filed against Baldwin and the "Rust" production in Santa Fe County, New Mexico by attorney Brian Panish, the lawyer claims that it was cost-cutting measures on set that cost Halyna's life.

The family is seeking "unspecified monetary damage" on the grounds that she was a wife and mother. "We believe it is going to be substantial, based on the loss of that relationship," Panish said.
