Two people were killed and three others wounded after a flurry of gunfire at a Brooklyn party on Sunday. This follows another bloody weekend in New York City.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire at 101 Wortman Avenue at approximately 12:30 am and discovered three gunshot victims inside a vehicle and two others inside another building.

The two men in the vehicle, both aged 36, suffered gunshot wounds to the head, face and chest. They were transported to a hospital and pronounced dead upon arrival.

A third man, a 51-year-old, was shot in the back, chest, and arm, and at the time of publication, is in critical condition at Brookdale Hospital.

According to the responding officers, two other victims were shot inside the venue. Inside, police found a 32-year-old struck in the chest and neck, also fighting for his life at Brookdale Hospital. They also found a 37-year-old who suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder, who is expected to make a recovery.

No arrests have been made.

Police are urging the public to report if they saw or heard anything suspicious in the area before the shooting.
