Antifa accounts on Twitter are sharing instructions on how to make dangerous projectile weapons in anticipation of summer protests against children's drag and trans performances.
Rise Up Printings, an Antifa propaganda design collective based in Missouri, posted a thread about making "paint bombs" from household paint, directed at Gays Against Groomers, an LGBT group critical of radical trans ideology.
Rise Up Printings tweeted: "Anti-trans hate groups are planning to actively show up to to [sic] Pride Events this June. That being said, here's how to make a Paint Balloon."
The thread, which has over 3,800 retweets as of Monday evening, tells comrades to fill balloons with a house paint mixture using funnels and gloves.
"These are great to cover areas, humiliate your enemies, and are easy to pass out and deploy."
House paints often contain formaldehyde and other organic chemical compounds that can cause serious injuries to the eyes.
Rise Up Printings, which sells its propaganda designs on Etsy, directs its followers to another extremist account that lists instructions on creating dangerous projectile "paint bombs" made using lightbulbs, paint, sand, oil and glass etching solution. "If you'd like to learn how to make more...hindering paint bombs, check out this mini thread," the group tweeted.

Their tweet directs to a June 2020 thread by Travis Alan Coy, a Seattle-based violent extremist who used the moniker "Red" and the Twitter name, "@IronProle." Coy died earlier this month from cancer. His thread was made during the height of the deadly 2020 Black Lives Matter-Antifa riots and remains online to this day.

After filling up cut light bulbs with the dangerous mixture, he instructs comrades to: "Seal with paraffin wax. Leave to dry for a few hours. Pack carefully. Enjoy." Coy's thread also linked to his instructions on making caltrops to deflate the tires of enemy targets. Caltrops were used in Portland during the 2020 riots by Antifa on police vehicles.
After this reporter tweeted screenshots from Rise Up Printings' account, the group posted that this reporter should be targeted with projectile water balloons containing acetone as one of the ingredients.
Gays Against Groomers, who was the original target of violence in the thread, tells TPM: "These people are terrified of our organization and voices speaking out from inside of the community."
Twitter and Etsy were reached for comment.
