Author and CNN pundit Bandy X. Lee is suffering from a very bad case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. So bad, in fact, that she believes that Trump is a worse leader than German's early 20th century genocidal dictator Adolf Hitler.

On Twitter, she wrote "Donald Trump is not an Adolf Hitler. At least Hitler improved the daily life of his followers, had discipline, and required more of himself to gain the respect of his followers. Even with the same pathology, there are varying degrees of competence."

After two hours, she realized that her tweet may have been glaringly ridiculous to many people, so she clarified what she wrote, saying "I see this message has upset people, but it is comment not on better or worse but competence. Please try to read dispassionately. I have stated several times that Donald Trump is not unique, and neither is Hitler. It is power places in their hands that is unique."

Adolf Hitler was a brutal dictator who rose to power in Germany between the two World Wars, ignored international treaties, invaded sovereign nations, segregated Jewish people, and then murdered more than 6 million Jews, as well as Romani people, the disabled, homosexuals, dissidents, and others from 1933 to 1945.

When the pressure got to be too much for Lee, she started blocking people on Twitter, saying "I blocked a lot of Trump supporters, as tension is running high, but may have accidentally blocked others.  So if you hear of anyone wishing to be unblocked, please let me know! (I block them for their own sake and, also, to allow for thoughtful discussion here).  Thanks."
