Babylon Bee CEO, Seth Dillon, revealed he is being disinvited from speaking at his alma mater. According to Dillon, students “inundated the school with emails” due to his public disapproval of Black Lives Matter and his Christian understanding of sexuality.

The Babylon Bee is a satirical website, often poking fun at political events.

Speaking to Campus Reform, Dillon revealed that Beach Atlantic University invited him for an interview in their chapel, but ended up changing the location to the library of the school. The interview was to commence on the morning of September 30, but students flooded the faculty with emails, alleging Dillon is against members of the LGBTQ and against BLM.

Social media users have no provided any evidence that Dillon is anti-LGBTQ.

After the mob came for Dillon, Director of Alumni Relations Steve Eshelman emailed Dillon, asking to eliminate the previously scheduled five minutes of freestyle speaking at the beginning of the event. He also informed Dillon that they would be moving the event elsewhere.

Students who were actually intending on hearing Dillon, expressed their disappointment online.

Dillon told Campus Reform that he is a graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University, which he attended from 2000 to 2004. He is a “Christian running a successful Christian media company” and “currently employs 10 Palm Beach Atlantic graduates” on a full-time basis. He also told Campus Reform that he recently donated $300,000 in seed funding to launch a new master's program at the university.

He said he would no longer donate unless the University fully committed to protecting free speech and battled cancel culture.

"Cancel culture is a destructive disease, and Palm Beach Atlantic University is not immune to it,” said Dillon. “We need more backbone and less coddling in our Christian institutions. And we need it yesterday.”
