BLM co-founder calls for more oppressive COVID-19 restrictions

"I don't think folks really appreciate the path we're on right now," the BLM leader tweeted.

Black Lives Matter co-founder Bree Newsome Bass is calling for more draconian COVID-19 restrictions to be enacted as the White House takes on new pandemic-response actions almost two years into the crisis.

"Shut sh** the f*** down and stop spreading the virus from person to person like we should've done in March 2020 so we wouldn't still be dealing with this 2 years later. Folks are not understanding that we're just creating conditions for a vaccine-resistant super variant," Newsome Bass tweeted Monday morning.

Newsome Bass expressed she is "so blown how we went from knowing exactly what needed to happen nearly 2 years ago to just saying, f*** it, let's let the whole thing collapse. I don't think folks really appreciate the path we're on right now."

Newsome Bass was responding to a Twitter account who prompted the activist. "Then please share your knowledge as to what will put an end to this rather than rile everyone up with the blame game. I mean. Give the world the solution .... lets go. Hurry, people getting infected every second," the Twitter user wrote.

The activist had first declared Monday that she is vaccinated, boosted, and masked but "still not ok w/ idea of losing my taste & smell or having chronic fatigue."

"You won't have serious illness," Newsome Bass mocked critics of pandemic fear-mongering. "Is that supposed to be reassuring?" she questioned, adding that she has a child who is too young to vaccinate. "How did we arrive at simply accepting the spread of covid?" Newsome Bass further asked earlier on Twitter.

"I’m annoyed that we never move beyond vaccination & minimal testing to a serious conversation about stopping the spread," Newsome Bass continued in the Twitter thread. "We're just accepting that omicron will burn thru the population when we still don't know a lot about what will happen when it does. Unbelievable."

"We've simply accepted that the whole population will be made sicker & less safe & our hospital systems will be overwhelmed," Newsome Bass tweeted. "But that's ok so long as I can say to myself that I *personally* won't get very sick… probably."

Back in May, the BLM leader called for slavery reparations in the form of land reapportionment, arguing on Twitter that crimes committed by the ancestors of white Americans should be paid by their living descendants.

"Amazing how white people commit atrocities in one generation & then they just disappear from existence," Newsome Bass wrote. "No descendants, no names, no current wealth or land holdings that can be identified as a result of the atrocity.

There have been a number of high-profile breakthrough cases making headlines in recent days. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), who is fully vaccinated and received the booster shot, announced Sunday that she has tested positive for COVID-19.

The White House's resident COVID-19 alarmist Dr. Anthony Fauci has even admitted that the Omicron variant appears "less severe" than previous variants.

"In fact, it might be, and I underscore might be, less severe as shown by the ratio of hospitalizations per number of new cases," Fauci said earlier in the month.

President Joe Biden reportedly plans to deliver a speech on Tuesday announcing new COVID-19 measures intending to address the "new phase of the pandemic," but will also issue "a stark warning" to unvaccinated Americans.

During a Wednesday meeting with members of the White House COVID-19 Response Team, the president warned the unvaccinated that they're in for a "winter of severe illness and death" as the Omicron variant continues to spread.

"For unvaccinated, we are looking at a winter of severe illness and death, for unvaccinated. For themselves, their families, and the hospitals they'll soon overwhelm," Biden said in a morbid message to unvaccinated constituents.
