BLM mob demand Rand Paul say Breonna Taylor's name—he authored the Justice for Breonna Taylor act

"After talking with Breonna Taylor’s family, I've come to the conclusion that it's long past time to get rid of no-knock warrants," Paul said in June.

Last night in Washington, DC, Senator Rand Paul and his wife were attacked by protestors invoking the name of Breonna Taylor, not realizing that Paul had introduced the Justice for Breonna Taylor Act in June to prevent deaths like Taylor's from ever happening again.

When he brought the legislation to the Senate, Paul said "After talking with Breonna Taylor’s family, I've come to the conclusion that it's long past time to get rid of no-knock warrants. This bill will effectively end no-knock raids in the United States."

Activists shouted "say her name," at the couple, and repeated the name Breonna Taylor.

Paul said that he feared for his life if it weren't for the police that flanked he and his wife and helped them get out of the area and back to their hotel. This occurred one block from the White House.

Taylor was killed by officers in Louisville, Kent. earlier this year when they entered the home where she was sleeping late at night under the direction of a "no-knock warrant."

It was when they were attempting to enter the home, without identifying themselves, that Taylor's boyfriend opened fire on the officers, believing he was the victim of a home invasion.

Officers returned fire, killing Taylor as she lay sleeping in bed.

Paul introduced legislation in June to ban this type of warrant, citing Taylor's horrific death as a reason to pull this tool from law enforcement to better protect his constituents.

The BLM activists who were shouting and screaming at him last night clearly had no idea that Paul had been working hard to prevent death's like Taylor's from ever happening again in his home state.

Paul had said Breonna Taylor's name on the floor of the US Senate and advocated for the rights of Americans to be safe in their own homes. Those protesting him, however, obviously did not have the same concern for the safety of Paul, or his wife, on the streets of the nation's capital.
