A previously unaired conversation between Tucker Carlson and former Capitol Hill Police Chief Steven Sund reveals that there was a "fair amount of law enforcement" present in the crowd at the Capitol building on January 6, 2021. The footage was obtained by Raheem Kassam at the National Pulse.
Carlson said that there were "operatives" on the ground at the Capitol who were in touch with the FBI that day, and asked whether that information would have reached Sund.
"So it’s interesting you asked that," Sund replied, noting that in the days that followed January 6, he had members of the media reach out and ask if he knew about the FBI having undercover agents in the crowd, to which he replied, "well, no, they would have told me," adding that he had spoken with the Washington Field Office just the day before.
"And now to see that they allegedly, according to the GAO report, had 18 operatives in the crowd. That’s a lot of operatives."
Sund added that he is now aware that the Department of Homeland Security had a "number of" Homeland Security Investigators in the crowd as well.
"I would say there was a fair amount of law enforcement in the crowd."This is a breaking story and will be updated.
