"Deranged Jack Smith knows that they have no case and is casting about for any way ot salvage their illegal witch hunt and to get someone other than Donald Trump to run against Crooked Joe Biden."

The statement comes as special counsel Jack Smith brought additional charges against both Trump and one of his maintenance staff as the DOJ seeks to eliminate Trump from 2024 contention.
The new charges include allegations that Trump sought to destroy surveillance footage at Mar-a-Lago after a subpoena was issued by the DOJ for Trump to turn over allegedly classified documents that Trump kept with him upon departing the White House in 2021.
Joe Biden has been found to be in possession of countless numbers of classified documents that he has absconded with during his many years in Washington, though this does not appear to be a concern for the DOJ, headed by Biden's Attorney General Merrick Garland.
Smith has now leveled 40 charges against Trump in this one case. The Hill reports that "The new count corresponds to a presentation Trump allegedly showed a book publisher and writer during a July 2021 meeting, which prosecutors described in court filings as a '[p]resentation concerning military activity in a foreign country.'"
That conversation, which was had at Trump's Bedminster, New Jersey golf club, is an audio recording. Trump has said that he was not showing off documents, and the document that was allegedly referred to was not among the documents listed in the indictment against Trump.
In addition to facing federal charges under the Espionage Act, Trump is looking at a looming indictment from the DOJ over the Capitol riot of January 6, as well as 31 counts of felony "falsification of business documents" charges in New York. Fulton County Georgia appears to be gearing up to charge Trump over the aftermath of the 2020 election, during which time he sought recounts and pursued lawsuits to verify the results of the election in key battleground states.
Trump has maintained that these charges are essentially a "witch hunt," and an attempt from Joe Biden, who is facing allegations of corruption in Congress, is seeking to eliminate his main political opponent.
