On Monday, former President Donald Trump left his Mar-a-Lago estate to board Trump Force One and fly to New York City to appear in court on Tuesday and respond to a recent indictment out of District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office.

Trump supporters lined the Florida streets as the President's motorcade made its way to the airport, reports the Daily Mail. After Trump's caravan arrived at the airport he boarded his flight bound for the Big Apple.

Trump said on Truth Social that he would leave at noon on Monday and said, "On Tuesday morning I will be going to, believe it or not, the Courthouse. America was not supposed to be this way!"

Trump is expected to be arraigned Tuesday at 2:15 pm and give remarks from Mar-a-Lago later that night.

The displays of support follow Trump supporters showing up at his estate Saturday to shout "we love Trump" and show support.

On Sunday, Trump's lawyer, Joe Tacopina, went on CNN's State of the Union and said his client intends to plead "will very loudly and proudly say not guilty." to the charges.

Many are calling Bragg's indictment a political prosecution.

That indictment contains at least one felony count and concerns accounting records regarding what has been called a hush money payout made to porn star Stormy Daniels by Trump's then-lawyer Michael Cohen. Bragg's case against Trump alleges he falsified business records and that his company accounted for $130,000 to be paid to Michael Cohen, Trump's former lawyer, who allegedly acted as a passthrough in order to pass the hush money along to Daniels.

The indictment from Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg's office was filed under seal and the nature of the one felony charge has not been released. The charges are expected to be unsealed in the coming days.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
