On Friday night, shortly before 7 PM, Detective Jeremy Brown of the Clark County Sheriffs Department was in his vehicle conducting surveillance on a home at NE 109th Avenue. Vancouver police in a statement that, "Other units in the area on the same detail were unable to reach the deputy on the radio and, around the same time, a citizen heard what sounded like gunshots and saw a male inside a vehicle bleeding and called 911."

Two men and a woman got in a car and fled the scene. According to police, as law enforcement followed, the suspects' car crashed near Padden Parkway and Interstate-205. The suspects got out of the vehicle and ran which prompted an extensive search Friday night as law enforcement told residents to stay inside their homes.

Several Antifa accounts took to the internet in blatant mockery of the tragic incident.

Vancouver police said that 28-year-old Abran Raya-Leon, and 35-year-old Misty M. Raya, were both arrested on unrelated felony warrants.

According to a statement by the Department of Justice, Guillermo Raya-Leon was arrested Sunday and is alleged to have shot and killed a Detective Brown Friday in Vancouver, Washington.

During the investigation, the Salem Police Department, along with members of the PNVOTF, obtained information that Guillermo Raya-Leon was located at an apartment complex near the intersection of Sunnyview Road NE and Coral Avenue NE. Raya-Leon was observed entering a vehicle law enforcement believed he stole after the shooting.

The PNVOTF conducted a vehicle stop and ordered Guillermo Raya-Leon and three other individuals out of the vehicle. All persons have been detained by the Salem Police Department for further investigation.

The PNVOTF is composed of Deputy US Marshals from the Western District of Washington along with Oregon, and other federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. Since its creation in 2010, the PNVOTF has arrested almost 14,000 violent fugitives for various offenses including homicide, failure to register as a sex offender, sex crimes, firearms, and federal probation violations.

Chief Deputy US Marshal Richard Craig stated, "The goal of the US Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force is to bring together resources from federal, state, and local law enforcement; utilize the specialized skills they bring to the table; and apprehend violent offenders. I applaud the Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force and its partners for their determination in apprehending Guillermo Raya-Leon so quickly. No matter how long it takes, or where they run to, the experienced investigators on this team will work tirelessly to find and bring fugitives to justice."

The US Marshals Service in Oregon and Washington, the Vancouver Police Department, the Salem Police Department and the FBI all assisted in efforts to locate and arrest of Raya-Leon.
