Their response misses the overall point of concern that American's hyperfocus on implementing "diversity" is being manipulated to China's advantage.

The Biden government is now doing what Trump did to CNN but in a more official capacity. Fresh off an online feud with Taylor Lorenz and The New York Times, a branch of the US government has decided to get involved in media drama.

He plans to address the debacle on his show later this evening.

For reference here's the Tucker Carlson Tonight segment in question. You'll need it for comparison to the descriptions given by third parties.

The press release from the Department of Defense gets into the political quagmire. They accuse Tucker Carlson of “dissing diversity.” All the Fox News show host said was the Chinese military is catching up to American troops because they don’t allow women to serve as much over there.

That was at least the press release characterization of the segment. NBC News described it as a tirade by Carlson against “maternity flight suits” and accused him of transphobia.

Pentagon Press Secretary responded to Tucker Carlson’s critique of how the US military is falling behind by asserting diversity as America’s strength.

"I want to be very clear right up front, that the diversity of our military is one of our greatest strengths. I've seen it for myself in long months at sea and in the combat waged by our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. I've seen it up on Capitol Hill just this past month. And I see it every day here right at the Pentagon."

It was a personal matter to Kirby as he says he married a female Naval officer and started a family with them. The rest of the press release reiterates how open the US military is for jobs and positions for women, and how great it was President Biden recently nominated two female generals to top level command posts.

"To be sure, we still have a lot of work to do to make our military more inclusive, more respectful of everyone, especially women," Kirby stated in closing.
