President Joe Biden put out a shockingly tone-deaf post on Friday along with a picture of himself posing with WNBA players. "It’s been a banner year for women’s basketball, including the most-watched WNBA season and the most-watched women’s college game ever," he said. "It matters to girls and women seeing themselves represented. It matters to all of America."

His administration recently stripped protections for women and girls at schools from kindergarten through college and is in the process of obliterating set-asides for women's sports for student athletes. Biden, a big proponent of gender ideology, appears to believe that men who say they are women really are women and that these men should be permitted to compete in women's sports, even if that means less women are able to compete.

Posters on X were quick to point this out.

Biden's new rules enshrine gender identity as a protected status, meaning that protections and set-asides that were meant for women and girls are now legal protections for men and boys who say they are female. While the issue of sports was left out of the new rules, a separate rule has already been proposed that would eliminate blanket bans on cross-sex participation in sex-segregated sports.

The newly proposed rule would prevent schools from banning males in the play of women and girls. It would require schools to "recognize that there are differences among students and school sports teams depending on grade and education level."

Women have been speaking out against these changes, from middle school competitors up to professional levels as men have interjected themselves into track and field, running, golf, skateboarding, swimming, basketball, darts, surfing, billiards, rugby, biking, wrestling, weight lifting, boxing, MMA, soccer, and any other sport that has women's leagues. Middle school girls in West Virginia have been prevented from competing entirely because they boycotted competitions where a boy was allowed to compete in their events.

Women athletes have lost lucrative marketing contracts with top brands because those women refuse to say that men are women and should be competing in women's events. Women athletes have been ostracised, canceled, insulted, called transphobic, all because they believe in the rights of women athletes to compete on a fair playing field.

Biden says women's sports matter, but in his actions he has shown repeatedly and in the policies of his administration that women are not worthy of consideration, that their views are meaningless, and that their right to fair play is nothing compared to men's rights to lie, cheat, and steal their way to victory in women's competition.

While Biden claimed that "It matters to girls and women seeing themselves represented. It matters to all of America" in a social media post, what he really means is that women's sports don't matter at all compared to men's right to take their place. Biden believes men have more of a right to play in women's sports than women do.
