Police were called at 2:40 am on Sunday to a location on Aberdeen Street in Kingston, Ontario. They found approximately 300 people in attendance at an illegal gathering.
According to current lockdown regulations, indoor gatherings can only have a maximum of five people, and 25 people are allowed to get together outdoors.
According to CTV News Ottawa, Const. Cameron Mack of the Kingston Police emailed them the details of this recent incident.
Nobody as of this time has been charged yet, but the investigation has not concluded, and people being charged is still something that's on the table.
Although there are only four active COVID cases currently in the city of Kingston, officials are concerned about the possible rapid spread of the virus, due to the new "Delta variant" that has been moving worldwide recently.
As such, Kingston remains under heavy restriction, with even some popular parks still closed to date.
