Liberal minister Seamus O'Regan was trolled on Twitter after posting a misleading image regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. The graphic read: "Every Canadian will have access to an effective and free vaccine once it's ready."
Over a third of the planet is expected to have available vaccines before Canada does. Countries with less development, such as Indonesia, Mexico and India, will all have vaccines before Canada. Western countries like the Unites States and the United Kingdom, will have vaccinations as soon as Dec. 15.
The error made by the Trudeau government is evident in the their lack of strategy and misguided attempt to purchase the vaccine from a China. As the Trudeau government is drawing criticism, their communications team has seemingly rolled out a campaign to combat the backlash.
The Federal government has yet to name a date in which the vaccine may be available. While Trudeau guarantee's a vaccine for every Canadian, this slogan has fallen short as many Canadians are not concerned with the amount of vaccines, but the simple availability of it.
Some are also concerned that Canada will economically decline when all other countries begin to open up (following the vaccinations) but Canada remains in lockdown.
