Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has stated on Wednesday that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has agreed to a public debate on the economic issues surrounding AOC's Green New Deal.
Greene had previously written on Twitter:
"Since you sponsored the Green New Deal and have a degree in Economics, I’m sure you are more than qualified. I just have a degree in Business Admin and have owned a construction company for 20 years," wrote Greene previously, adding that she feels the debate would be informative for the American People. They deserve to hear the two sides with pro’s and cons."
AOC's Green New Deal has been widely panned by critics, saying that it's insanely expensive and, in many cases, even counterproductive.
So far, AOC's office has neither confirmed nor denied her attendance at the debate.
