President Donald Trump ordered the removal of the security clearances of Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, New York Attorney General Letitia James, former Secretary of State Antony Blinken, former National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, as well as multiple others on Saturday.

According to a report from the New York Post, Bragg and James are two of eight Democrats who will have their security clearance taken away, so that they cannot have access to classified information and are barred from entering some federal facilities.

Trump told the outlet about the action in an interview. "This is to take away every right they have [revoking security clearances] including they can’t go into [federal] buildings," Trump told the Post.

The directive is also aimed at former Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who was the official that orchestrated the letter of 51 intelligence agent spreading the false claim that the Hunter Biden laptop story had “all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation." The order to take away the security clearances comes after Trump revoked former President Joe Biden's access to secure federal building as well as classified information.

Other targets of the order include former National Security Advisor under the Biden administration Jake Sullivan as well as Bidens Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco. Monaco was involved in the investigations into Trump with the DOJ in response to the January 6 riot at the Capitol building in 2021. Sullivan helped to push the Trump-Russia collusion hoax and was also a chief foreign policy advisor to Hillary Clinton during her 2016 run.
