44-year-old Lawrence Paul Anderson from Chickasha, Oklahoma was sentenced to life in prison after killing his neighbor, cutting out and cooking her heart and then feeding it to his own family members, one of whom he then killed.

The Daily Mail reports that on February 9, 2021, Anderson went to the home of 41-year-old neighbor Andrea Lynn Blakenship, stabbed her to death and cut out her heart. He took her heart to the home of his aunt and uncle, Delsie and Leon Pye, where he cooked the organ with potatoes and then served the finished meal to his family, whom he then attacked.

He stabbed his aunt and uncle, and their granddaughter, 4-year-old Kaeos Yates. Anderson knifed 67-year-old Leon Pye, killing him, and stabbed Delsie Pye in both her eyes. She recovered sight in one eye, but became blinded in the other and deaf in one ear. After being fatally stabbed, the child, Kaeos Yates, died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.

Anderson made a plea deal with prosecutor Jason Hicks and pleaded guilty to three counts of murder plus individual counts of assault and battery and maiming on Wednesday in Grady County District Court. The deal took a death sentence off the table.

The prosecutor had the family's approval for the plea deal as they did not want to "listen to all the gory details of what happened to their loved ones."

Delsie Pye said at sentencing, "Family means everything to me, as my nephew I don’t love you but I don’t hate you – even though I can’t judge you, God will."

A granddaughter of the Pye's, Quindessa Flowers, said, "You're not sad at all! Don't shed no fake as** tears!"

In Flowers' impact letter she said, "'I hope you rot from the inside out" and "You ain't no family of ours."

"I hate you for everything you've done to us," she added.

The mother of the 4-year-old, Tasha Yates, said during sentencing, "Who kills a baby... who does that?"

In Yates' impact letter she said, "I pray you hear my baby girl as she told you that she loves you and that she didn’t want to die, too! And just like you didn’t hear her then, I pray that God doesn't hear your cries either and I pray that you cry out for God on more days than you don't."

Anderson had been previously sentenced to 20 years in prison for a series of drug and gun offenses from 2017.

Upon a recommendation from the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board, Governor Kevin Stitt commuted his sentence and Anderson was released in January 2021. He murdered his neighbor and family members a month later.

According to the Oklahoman, when Anderson confessed he said he "cooked the heart with potatoes to feed to his family to release the demons."
