Citizens nationwide have watched in horror as children have been in attendance at incredibly sexually charged drag shows. Many have asked the question, why are children at these shows and more importantly, why is nothing being done to stop this?

DeSantis stepped up to the plate and "The Plaza Live," a music venue in Orlando, has officially been stripped of its liquor license for allowing children to attend the inappropriate "A Drag Queen Christmas" show back in December of 2022.

"The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation is "revoking" the Orlando Philharmonic Plaza Foundation's liquor license after a "sexual" drag show permitted entry to minors," Florida's voice tweeted Friday.

"A Drag Queen Christmas" which toured across the US, was marketed as a "Naughty Tour" per The Plaza Live's Facebook. One of their first stops in Austin, TX raised concern after it was reported that drag queens with exposed prosthetic breasts were dancing around while others accepted cash tips from children.

Governor DeSantis had previously warned businesses that they would be held accountable for, "exposing children to inappropriate sexualized content." With Fox35 Orlando reporting that The Plaza Live was given warning by The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation "not to allow children inside if there will be inappropriate content." They further added that they could take action against the venue's license.

However, the venue ignored these warnings and young children were seen in attendance at "A Drag Queen Christmas," where children were exposed to adult characters such as 'Screwdolph the Red-Nippled Reindeer," while a drag queen with illuminated breasts sang "Screwdolph with your nipples so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight."

The Department of Business and Professional Regulation launched an investigation after complaints were made that children were at the show, stating that "exposing children to sexually explicit activity is a crime in Florida, and such action violates the Department's licensing standards for operating a business and holding a liquor license."

Governor DeSantis is sending a strong message to businesses in the state of Florida that the safety of children comes above all else and owners will face serious consequences for not adhering to these laws.

Parents across the nation have watched in horror as children have been allowed to attend extremely sexualized drag shows, with many applauding the leadership of Governor DeSantis who is putting his foot down and holding business owners accountable for exposing children to adult themed shows.
