US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that his campaign team will be joining the state of Texas in their lawsuit against several other states, alleging voter fraud.

Texas filed suit on Monday against the states of Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin to the US Supreme Court over alleged fraud during the US general election in those states on November 3. The lawsuit also alleges multiple violations of the US Constitution. The case was duly added to the Supreme Court's docket.

"We will be INTERVENING in the Texas (plus many other states) case. This is the big one. Our Country needs a victory!"

Trump wanted to make clear on social media that many other cases that have been brought to various courts throughout the nation are mostly inconsequential.

This case, brought about at first by the state of Texas, will be the definitive case, and is expected to be joined by more states and other entities.

"This was not my case as has been so incorrectly reported. The case that everyone has been waiting for is the State’s case with Texas and numerous others joining. It is very strong, ALL CRITERIA MET. How can you have a presidency when a vast majority think the election was RIGGED?"

The main thrust of this case is that the Constitution was violated, specifically the part of the Constitution called the "Electors Clause." This is because states changed the rules, mechanisms and procedures for voting using the executive branches of said states, bypassing the legislative bodies and leaving them out of the process.

The Supreme Court will have to agree with a majority of five justices to hear the case.
