In the latest episode of Candace, firebrand Daily Wire host Candace Owens interviews UFC fighter Beneil Dariush, who dedicated a recent victory to all those who have been hurt globally by Marxist ideologies.
Owens and Dariush discuss UFC, the labyrinth of socialism, communism, and Marxism, and the irony of China imposing the infamous one-child policy on that nation's citizens while the West places the restriction upon itself. This in a reference to the environmental award Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were given for pledging to only have two children in service to environmental concerns.
"I want to dedicate this fight to all the people who have been hurt by Marxist ideologies. There are millions of you and I know it," said Dariush in a mid-May interview with UFC commentator Joe Rogan after he was declared the winner of a 15-minute fight.
"It's just a fight," he told Rogan in the post-fight interview. "I know it's not much, but I want you to know that I love you." Dariush was raised in Iran before his family emigrated to America.
"And I understand the pain ... I don't completely understand, but I love you. I understand your pain."
The fight was instrumental in the rising star's career. He was ranked 7th in the lightweight division before he beat 5th-ranked former UFC interim champion Tony Ferguson over three rounds in the UFC 262 co-main event. The integral win was also Dariush's 7th consecutive win, extending the jaw-dropping winning streak with the unanimous decision victory, and his 15th in the Octagon.
In the interview with Owens, he speaks about why he felt compelled to make these statements about the horror of communism. "The catalyst to it was Thug Rose. She just became champion again. She came out and said, 'Better dead than Red.' And her family, I believe, is Lithuanian. She got terrible backlash. And I couldn't understand it," he says.
"You don't want communism. You don't want socialism. This is what destroys countries and lives. So I saw how the media spun it, saying, 'Communism isn't an issue in America' and things like that," Dariush tells the Daily Wire host.
Dariush slams the doublespeak that comes with Marxism and helps the ideology flourish. "The issue is, it's the way they play with words," he says. "You say 'communism' and they say, 'Well, we're not really talking about communism, we're talking about socialism.'"
"You say 'socialism' and they say, 'Well it's not that kind of socialism, it's this.' So I said, 'Marxism. It covers it all.' The only difference between these is one of them is a slower poison that's going to kill you later on and the other one kills you faster. It's all one thing."
Dariush states that once the government takes power, "nobody takes that away."
"If it's gained freely, it will be taken back in blood. That's the only way to get away from communism," Dariush quips.
He describes the horrors of China's one-child policy forced on its people. "And people don't know this, but they have about half a billion abortions. But you know what the saddest part is? Most of them were girls. And you know why? Because the girls can't carry on the family name. And that's the saddest part. Most of the abortions in China were women," Dariush states.
"But that's the crazy thing—over there the leaders forced it upon us. Now we're doing it willingly because the ideology is slowly seeping into every part of our life."
"The West, we have been blessed for so long," Owens adds, listing the many blessings that Westerners have enjoyed. "We don't know what socialism is. We don't know what Marxism is, and people come here from the East and they're like, 'Are you crazy? Do you understand the cancer that we are talking about?'"
Dariush, a devout Christian and Iranian-American professional mixed martial artist in the UFC lightweight division, often shares his faith and posts online about the charity work that means so much to him. He sponsors an orphanage and Christian school on the island nation of Haiti known as the Cap-Haitien Children's Home.
