Portland-based OnlyFans starlet-turned-unofficial Antifa leader Alissa Eleanor Azar (b. Feb. 12, 1991) is scheduled to go on trial in September for felony rioting.

Azar, who rose through the ranks of the far-left for her Antifa-themed online sex work, was indicted in December 2021 in Clackamas County. Azar is charged with felony riot, second-degree disorderly conduct and unlawful use of stun gun, tear gas or mace in the second degree.

The charges stem from a June 2021 Antifa riot in Oregon City's Clackamette Park.

This is far from Azar's only legal woes, however. In progressive Multnomah County, she was charged last year with riot, robbery in the second degree, and three counts of assault in the third degree—all felonies stemming from a downtown Antifa attack on street preachers in August 2022. She was also charged with attempt to commit a Class C felony, and tampering with physical evidence. She pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Azar is an American who identifies on her social media and fundraising campaigns as a "Syrian journalist."

"When I’ve witnessed Alissa at events with Antifa she appears to be trying to seem like a reasonable and journalistic face in front of their group," Portland-based photographer Tara Faul told TPM. "But if you pay attention she’s coordinating and communicating with people behind the scenes. I’ve seen her stand by while Antifa assault people and then assist with theft after the assaults happen."

Azar had previous Antifa riot-related charges dropped by the Multnomah County district attorney Mike Schmidt in 2021, however, her luck appears to have run out with the serious charges against her.

Footage of the 2021 Oregon City incident shows Azar rushing in to pepper spray a woman standing in the park before getting knocked to the ground by a right-wing man in riot gear. A brawl ensued between Antifa members in black bloc and men wearing Proud Boys symbols on their clothing or riot gear. The incriminating video was recorded and posted on Twitter by Portland Antifa member Melissa Lewis before being quickly deleted. However, others had already downloaded and re-uploaded the footage.

Azar's retained attorney for the Oregon City riot case is Lauren Regan, executive director for far-left Antifa-linked legal group Civil Liberties Defense Center. In February, a Portland leftist activist arrested and accused of carrying out random bladed attacks on women had been revealed to attend a CLDC fundraiser. The CLDC often provides legal counsel to Antifa violent extremists. In 2019, the group expressed support for Eugene, Ore. school gunman, Charlie Landeros. Landeros was killed after he showed up at Cascade Middle School with a loaded gun and fired two shots at a school resource officer. The resource officer, who returned fire and shot Landeros in the head, was cleared of any wrongdoing, much to the dismay of the CLDC and other Antifa activists.

Azar's involvement in Antifa violent extremism has impacted her personal life. In December 2022, she posted on Mastodon about losing custody of her only child. "Their arguments were all revolving around my involvement with antifascism and my criminal trial, with a sprinkle of misogyny," Azar complained.

Azar's main income appears to be through OnlyFans, where she reportedly earns $23,000 per month selling explicit images of herself with Antifa symbols in the background.

In a Twitter post by TPM's senior editor, Andy Ngo, he wrote: "Azar has used her appearance to elevate herself to an unofficial leadership role among Antifa's simps. However, her critics accuse her of being a catfisher who posts deceptive photographs of herself online to sell subscriptions to her sex work."
