Dylan Mulvaney thinks it should be illegal to call him a man, and believes that articles referring to him using male pronouns amount to “bad journalism.”
"I understand freedom of speech and opinions," Mulvaney said. "But when someone writes that I'm a child predator solely based on the fact that I'm a trans woman. Well, that that's just bullying. Or even worse, in my opinion, are like the articles written about me using key pronouns and calling me a man over and over again. And I feel like that should be illegal. I don't know. That's that's just bad journalism."
In a TikTok video posted last October on his 210th "day of girlhood," Mulvaney explained to his legions of followers that he had been unusually quiet on the social media platform recently due to “having an especially rough month dealing with haters.”
Mulvaney took aim at his critics, calling them “adult bullies,” and expressed disappointment that such people weren’t “evolved human beings.”
Explaining that while he understands the right to freedom of speech, he believes referring to him using male pronouns and calling him a man ought to be illegal.
“The articles written about me using ‘he’ pronouns, and calling me a man over and over again, I feel like that should be illegal. I don't know,” said Mulvaney.
The TikTok celebrity who shot to stardom with the series 100 Days of Girlhood, in which he impersonates an over-the-top ditsy woman, told viewers that he didn’t know what he was signing up for when he started the series, and expressed shock that his content was being picked up by “Conservative news stations and transphobes.”
“I was just a musical theater major,” Mulvaney explains. “I didn’t study gender or politics. I just know how to sing and dance.”
The performance artist who knows little about politics was invited to meet with President Biden at the White House last October, on his 221st day of girlhood, to discuss trans rights and children having access to experimental sex changes.
When Mulvaney told Biden that it was his 221st day of “publicly transitioning,” the President responded, “God love you.”
Then the TikTok star who refers to women’s genitals as “Barbie pouches,” turned the conversation with Biden to access to "gender affirming care," something Biden has advocated for, telling parents to "affirm your kids."
“I am extremely privileged to live in a state that allows me access to the resources I need,” said Mulvaney. Mulvaney lives in California, where Governor Gavin Newsom is a strong advocate for experimental sex changes. “And that decision is just between me and my doctors. But many states have lawmakers that feel like they can involve themselves in this very personal process.”
Biden responded by expressing his commitment to allowing men like Mulvaney to access women’s spaces and his opposition to states banning doctors from performing experimental sex changes on minors.
When Mulvaney asked Biden how Democratic leaders could be more effective in advocating for trans people and their families, Biden responded, “Not being facetious when I say this but you see it with people like you" Biden said. “I mean, I genuinely mean it.”
Biden then rambled on about how exposure to the likes of Mulvaney will lead to greater acceptance of the transgender community.
