WATCH: Fans finish National Anthem at Seattle Kraken game after microphone fails

After the microphone failed, the crowd sang the Star Bangled Banner in unison as the soloist conducted the audience.

When the microphone cut out during the National Anthem at a pre-season game Friday for the NHL’s newest expansion team the Seattle Kraken, fans joined together to finish the song.

The game against the Houston Oilers, was being held at the Angels of the Winds Arena in Everett, WA, while work is still be completed on the Kraken’s new Stadium, Climate Pledge Arena.

After the microphone failed, the crowd sang the Star Bangled Banner in unison as the soloist conducted the audience. After completion of the anthem the crowd cheered.

The good news continued as the Kraken beat the Oilers 2-1 in overtime.
