Peterborough-Kawartha MP Maryam Monsef accidentally told all members of Parliament her salary on an embarrassing hot mic during Monday's House of Commons vote.
The Minister for Women and Gender Equality appeared via Zoom during an NDP motion, during which her microphone caught her saying: "The question they're going to ask me—How much do I make now? Like, 250?"

The slip-up caused a brief roar of laughter in the House before the audio to the broadcast was cut as the votes were being tallied.
While the slip up was embarrassing, it wasn't all too revealing. According to figures from 2016, cabinet ministers earn $247,000 salary.
