Sacha Baron Cohen took a dig at Justin Trudeau over his blackface incident in the new film, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm.

While explaining some recent political history, Borat tells the audience that the United States elected a man who ruined the country, in the form of Barrack Obama. He then explains that Obama's election "led to other Africans becoming world leaders," showing the TIME Magazine photos of Justin Trudeau in blackface published in 2019.

The photo shows a 29-year-old Trudeau during an Arabian Nights themed party in 2001. The photograph appears in the 2000-2001 yearbook of West Point Grey Academy, a private day school where Trudeau was a teacher.

“I made a mistake when I was younger and I wish I hadn’t,” Trudeau said of the image. “I should have known better then, but I didn’t. And I did it. And I am deeply sorry for it.”

Trudeau also said he wore blackface while singing the Banana Boat song ("Day-O") a Jamaican folk tune by Harry Belafonte.
