"This makes me want to fight for Russia and I'm not even Russian," remarked one commenter.

A side-effect of the former Trump administration is that the United States has pitted itself against Russia as its main adversary.

With the onset of the sweeping changes enacted by the Biden administration, the American military has been forced to adapt identity politics as a form of both national and foreign policy.

A recent Twitter video that's gone viral has both of these elements at play, side by side. In it, viewers see what both Russia and the USA are focusing on with their respective recruitment strategies.

You don't even need to speak Russian to understand the message of their ad. Men are doing push-ups, men are undergoing tough missions and exercises, and men are pushed to the peak of their potential. While the American ad shows a girl growing up with two moms and being raised on a diet of political activism.

It's a shift that was first adopted by the CIA at the beginning of May with a similar identity politics-focused recruitment video. However, it's not like American men are falling behind, though. Recently, The Post Millennial reported how the newest US army fitness test, despite significant changes to accommodate women, is still being failed by a sizable number of female recruits.

The ideological restructuring of the US military has been ongoing over the past several months. It stems back to the politicization push that started with the extremism stand down mandated by the Department of Defense: A partisan takeover that's not allowed to be debated or discussed publicly, as seen by the Space Force commander being relieved of duty for doing just that.
