Western University cancels all non-academic activities after 'superspreader' parties

Students who defy COVID guidelines will now face penalties, according to officials. September means most schools are back in session including the University of Western Ontario, in London, Ont.

Known for its large parties, Western students were warned about spreading the virus, after 28 students test positive, according to CTV.

On Thursday, the school officially halted all non-academic activities, after officials found a majority of cases linked to just a few households that went out partying and drinking. In some cases, individuals shares drinks and e-cigarettes
