BREAKING: Trump blasts Judge Merchan for refusing to allow him to attend son's graduation at risk of jail

"It looks like the judge will not let me go to the graduation of my son, who has worked very very hard."

Speaking to the media after appearing in court for the first day of his falsified business documents case on Monday, Donald Trump slammed Judge Juan Merchan for signing an order that will prevent him from attending his youngest son's graduation.

The charges were brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who alleged that funds paid to his then-attorney Michael Cohen in the lead up to the 2020 election were allegedly given to porn star Stormy Daniels to prevent her from speaking out about their alleged interactions.

"We had some amazing things happen today," Trump began. "My son has graduated from high school, and it looks like the judge will not let me go to the graduation of my son, who has worked very very hard. He's a great student, and very proud of the fact that he did so well, and he was looking forward for years to have graduation with his mother and father there."

"Looks like the judge isn't gonna allow me to escape this scam," he continued, calling it a "scam trial" and a "political witch hunt."

Trump claimed that of all the legal scholars and pundits he'd heard, not one said that it was a case that should be brought or tried.

He went on to lament that along with missing Barron's graduation, the aforementioned order would also bar him from attending proceedings in his immunity case at the Supreme Court in Washington, DC.

"We got a real problem with this judge," Trump said. "We got a problem with a lot of things having to do with this trial, including the DA, because you go outside and people are being mugged and killed all day long and he's sitting here all day with about 10 or 12 prosecutors over nothing."

He said the fact that he was stuck in New York and couldn't campaign across the country was "perfect for the radical left Democrats," and "exactly what they want."

"Who will explain for me, to my wonderful son, Barron, who is a GREAT Student at a fantastic School, that his Dad will likely not be allowed to attend his Graduation Ceremony, something that we have been talking about for years, because a seriously Conflicted and Corrupt New York State Judge wants me in Criminal Court on a bogus 'Biden Case' which, according to virtually all Legal Scholars and Pundits, has no merit, and should NEVER have been brought," Trump later said in a post on Truth Social. "This Fake Case is solely meant to attack Crooked Joe Biden’s Political Opponent, ME, who is seriously leading him in the Polls, for purposes of Election Interference. The Judge, Juan Merchan, is preventing me from proudly attending my son’s Graduation. Seems very unfair, doesn’t it? But this whole event is unfair. Every one of the many Fake Cases that are perpetuated by the White House in order to help the Worst President in History, by far, get Re-Elected, are UNJUST SCAMS. We won’t let that happen, but we will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

This is a developing story and will be updated.
