Tim Pool's Timcast Records released a promo video for their newest single "Only Ever Wanted" which features drums by former Offspring drummer Pete Parada.

The single is available now for pre-order and it will be made available everywhere on August 26, 2022, according to statement. Parada was ousted from the Offspring last year after drumming with the group for 14 years after he refused the COVID-19 vaccine.

The song is written and Performed by Tim Pool, and is produced and performed by Carter Banks, along with drums by Pete Parada.

Parada said in a statement that "Tim was one of the first people with a large platform to support me after my dismissal from The Offspring. When I reached out to thank him, he immediately invited me to his home to talk about music and the possibility of working together. I was impressed with the range of material that he had already written and could instantly hear what I would do with those songs. It’s been a great collaborating environment between myself, Tim and Carter. I get excited every time they send a new song for me to play on here in my studio because I know it’s going to be interesting and something that I’ll enjoy sinking my teeth into."

"Working with Pete Parada and Carter Banks on this new album has been a dream come true," Pool said. "The first song I ever learned was from the first album I ever bought, 'Americana' by the Offspring. When I heard that Pete was fired over his inability to get the vaccine I knew instantly that The Offspring had made a mistake, both politically and in terms of market opportunity. Pete's drumming and vision has been a major asset to our production and added that burst of energy our songs were looking for. Carter made magic happen and transformed these songs I've written into something I never thought possible."

"I lost my job and with that my ability to support my family," Parada said. "I knew speaking up could likely cost me any other opportunities and potentially my career. But the worst part was actually how my community turned their backs on me overnight. Our families traveled the world together."

"Our children grew up together," Parada continued. "Our wives were very close. It’s easy to be considered ‘family’ by someone when you are doing exactly what they want. You find out pretty quickly where you stand with a person when you start saying no. My inability to get jabbed and my overall position in opposition to the vaccine mandates was inconvenient to their business plans so I was replaced immediately and never heard from them again."

Parada suffers from Guillain-Barre syndrome, a disease which causes the immune system to attack the nervous system. Parada says his doctor advised him against getting the COVID-19 vaccine, as it would be more dangerous than the virus, of which he had a mild case of last year.

In a series of 17 tweets posted in August, Parada spoke out against vaccine requirements, writing "I do not find it ethical or wise to allow those with the most power (government, corporations, organizations, employers) to dictate medical procedures to those with the least power."

His statement continued: "For me this issue was about so much more than my health versus my career. I imagined my children eventually in my same position: one day having to choose between opportunity and bodily autonomy. I thought if I get a fake card, like many are doing -  and avoid taking this hit, I’ll just be kicking the authoritarianism down the road for my kids to deal with and I won’t have shown them how to stand up in the face of ridicule.

"I feel the need to point out that my former band should not necessarily be singled out for how I was treated. I’ve now heard from countless musicians who were fired for vaccine non-compliance. Most folks just don’t want to speak up, they’re waiting out the storm and hoping to get back to work when this madness ends, without having to carry the stain of being labeled an anti-vaxxer. The entire industry felt pressure from governmental agencies to coerce everyone from executives, to promoters, to band members, to crew people, to fans - into receiving these injections. The excitement and need to get back to work blinded a lot of folks from understanding their own power and the power being used to shape their reactivity.

"Moving on from all that was excruciating at first. It felt like I had lost my entire identity. Who was I if not the drummer in my band of 14 years? But a year later I can see that it was a blessing. I had been creatively stifled in that group for years and now feel liberated by my ability to work with so many different artists in a given week. All of my projects now are based on mutual respect with my collaborators. I track drums from my studio for people all around the world, and it’s very heartening to feel so inspired and appreciated for my contributions again. I didn’t realize how badly I was needing that until I was mercifully released from my former situation. Hindsight can be very illuminating and healing.”
