Kwon was shot to death in her Tesla in downtown Seattle, and she was 32 weeks pregnant at the time. Doctors at a nearby hospital were unable to save the baby.
The suspect was revealed to be Cordell Maurice Goosby, who has a felony record in Illinois. Early reports indicated that Goosby used used a stolen 9mm handgun in the fatal shooting. When he was arrested, he told police "I did it, I did it."
Police officers found the victim after responding to calls of shots fired at a car in downtown Seattle, at the intersection of 4th Avenue and Lenora Street. The white Tesla in which Kwon sat was riddled with bullet holes, and the couple were both found with gunshot wounds.
Goosby was found nearby, with the help of witnesses who told police where he'd gone. The murder weapon was also recovered at that time.
Kwon, 34, was transported to the hospital along with her husband, where she died.
