MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell is officially running to chair the Republican National Committee. Lindell made the announcement on Monday during an appearance on Steve Bannon's War Room podcast.

"With all my due diligence and in prayer, I am 100 percent running for RNC chairman against Ronna McDaniel," Lindell said. "It's going to change real fast. We're going to get our country right, really quick."

Lindell told Bannon that he has already spoken to donors and officials in an effort to receive their support.

He said that he was looking to make a realignment in the Republican Party so that it backs candidates like Kari Lake and Mark Finchem.

"The RNC collects money and then they don't do anything with election crime," Lindell said.

Lindell said that he would call on the 168 members of the RNC to find out what problems exist in the organization.

Current RNC chair Ronna McDaniel has been endorsed by a majority of the RNC's members, at 101.

Lindell has not yet received the public support of Former President Donald Trump. Lindell said to Insider that he hasn't spoken to Trump about the matter.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
